  I normally shop online, but occasionally I'll go into the store to try some things on that I'm unsure about. This past weekend I went to the Salem AE with my boyfriend and we were attacked by salespeople from the moment that we stepped into the store. There was the usual greeter who was at the entrance- she was great- friendly, helpful. But as soon as we walked in further, salespeople would not leave us alone. At every place I turned, there was a new salesperson asking if I wanted their help and giving me fashion advice. I would have been okay if just on person asked me, but literally 5 employees were badgered me. I come shopping to get away and to have some nice alone time- not to be harassed by sales people. This was shocking to me because I don't think that AE pays employees on commission either.
